Columbian Chemicals Company’s carbon blacks can be used in a wide variety of coatings applications.  According to Webster’s New International Dictionary, a coating is “a layer of any substance used as cover, protection, decoration, or finish.”  Although its definition is simple, a coating can be very sophisticated in terms of composition, curing chemistry, and application performance.    Our Raven® carbon blacks have been designed for various coatings applications.  The range of applications is quite diverse, and includes, but is not limited to:
