Specialty Carbon Blacks for Mechanical Rubber Goods

Ultra® Carbon Blacks:

Columbian has pioneered the production of Ultra high quality carbon blacks, which significantly reduce ash and residue. The benefits of Ultra carbon blacks include superior surface appearance and improved flex fatigue life due to enhanced dispersion and reduction of impurities. Ultra carbon blacks are best suited for high quality extruded profiles and for applications where life-extension of the rubber article is critical.

FX1001 Ultra®:

Coarse particle Ultra® carbon black with exceptional processing characteristics for extruded rubber and thin walled profiles. This carbon black exhibits superior performance in extrusion and injection molding applications.

Raven® P: 

Raven® P is a medium structure, fine particle size carbon black that is highly dispersible and gives excellent electrical conductivity at lower Mooney viscosity than conventional conductive carbon blacks.

XT1004:

High structure N700 series type carbon black with excellent extrusion and polymer extension properties. Its low surface area and structure allows compounders to increase loadings, reducing compound costs while maintaining processability.  XT1004 retards electro-chemical degradation of rubber parts and is ideal for low gloss automotive profiles.

XT1029:

XT1029 was developed to meet the industry need for improved appearance and performance of rubber profile extrusions without a cost penalty.  XT1029 is a new high structure carbon black with optimized morphology that provides a better balance of cost and performance compared to conventional ASTM N600 series carbon blacks.
