Specialty Carbon Blacks for Tire Applications
CD2115:
Ultra-fine particle carbon black ideally suited for racing and high-performance tire applications. CD2115 provides high dynamic modulus and tan delta across a broad range of temperature and operating conditions.
CD1003:
Low structure, low surface area carbon black for improved inner liner performance at reduced compound costs. Tire engineers have flexibility to maintain or increase air impermeability while extending the expensive butyl rubber with CD1003.
CD1007:
Hybrid carbon black that bridges tread and carcass carbon black properties (slightly finer particle size than N500 series carbon blacks). CD1007 is ideally suited in applications such as curing bladders, where flex fatigue life is important.
CD2005 and CD2038:
Exceptionally high structure, surface active carbon blacks for high & performance tread applications. CD2005 and CD2038 have the unique ability to alter traditional tread wear – rolling resistance tradeoffs. Both blacks have oil absorption values approaching 175 cc per 100 grams – CD 2038 is slightly finer than CD2005.
CD2019:
Ultra-fine particle carbon black targeted for high speed rated and Formula One-type racing tire applications, where combinations of traction and tread wear are critical for achieving wining results.
CD2041:
Fine particle carbon black developed to address the need for improved tread wear, lower rolling resistance, lower heat build-up and improve tear resistance for truck tread applications.
CD2045:
High structure, low surface area tread black, designed to achieve better dynamic properties than conventional N300 series tread grades.
CD2056:
High structure carbon black, providing a balance of tread wear, rolling resistance, and traction. CD2056 provides exceptional processibility through faster mixing incorporation and improved extrusion uniformity.
Raven® 22:
Low structure carbon black in powder form, ideally suited for tire paints used to promote mold release.
